A bit about me
I’m an artist living and working in a little village in Mid Wales, tucked away in a cosy cottage with my husband. My studio is just a few steps from the kettle — which is very important for creative emergencies involving tea.
I’ve always felt drawn to the sea. There’s something about the Welsh coastline — the light, the weather, the drama — that keeps finding its way into my work. I can’t paint outside though — my fingers freeze up, so I take photos then retreat to the studio, preferably with a cup of tea, and feeling restored in my fingertips.
I work in oils, acrylics and pastels.
When I’m not painting, you’ll probably find me in the garden pretending I know what I’m doing, or being thoroughly outnumbered and outwitted by the grandchildren — which is the best kind of chaos.
